These units at Artisan Mews are an incredible nod to Carytown – they provide a built-in welcome to the neighborhood! Anyone moving in who may already know the shops in Carytown can clearly see the inspiration, while anyone moving in from a different city will have a reason to explore and get to know the area! The subtle nods to Plan 9 will be noticeable to any longtime patron of our shop without being overt for someone who may have not discovered us yet. What a thrill to be a small piece of someone's new home.
Jim Bland, Owner of Plan 9
I was particularly impressed by how many of the design choices at Artisan Mews seemed to draw inspiration from local businesses. I believe this really fosters a strong sense of community, and it's something that resonated deeply with me. It’s clear that a great deal of thought went into creating spaces that feel connected to the local area. I may be biased, but the Shyndigz Market unit in particular seemed like the perfect place to create a sweet retreat and heartfelt memories!

My wife and I purchased a new build home from Center Creek in June 2020. We are first time buyers and, despite the pandemic, the process and experience of working with Center Creek could not have gone smoother. When we’re in the market again, we will absolutely consider working with them again. Highly recommend working with them if you’re in the market!

We purchased a home from center creek last year. It was the first home we have bought, it was in great condition and well built. We like their designs and the fact they are building new houses in the city rather than in subdivisions.

Center creek was professional and collaborative during the building process. When we closed the inspector stated the quality of the construction was either the highest or second highest he’d seen the whole year. Three years later, we are very happy with our build and the quality

We recently watched 5 homes go up from Center Creek. One thing I appreciated was their attentiveness to the aesthetics of the community. It’s becoming more common for homes in our history-rich-community to try to stand out, and then be an eye-sore on the block. The Center Creek homes matched the style of the area homes without sacrificing quality.

Since the pandemic, my husband and I have determined to walk all ~150 of Richmond’s neighborhoods, parks, cemeteries, and industrial areas. This thing has gone on so long that we are now up to our 110th walk. But what does this have to do with Center Creek Homes? Our first awareness of your infill and renovation work was right in our back yard, on Lakeview Ave. We watched as the duplexes of an ambitious developer with plans for a modern build has languished, while your company completed and sold the attractive and neighborhood-compatible duplex. So as we took our walks through RVA’s neighborhoods, we began to be able to spot your work — in Randolph, Barton Heights, Union Hill, North Church Hill, etc. … We haven’t been into any of your homes, but see in the virtual tours that you do indeed include the things people are looking for in today’s markets, including nice touches like mudrooms with benches. …It’s been so rewarding to see all the developers and builders who are helping to revitalize our beautiful RVA. So keep up the great work!
